The Industry of Music Showcase

Alas ... after much anticipation (and four years of VERY hard work) we'd like to welcome you to the 5th annual Industry of Music Showcase (IOM) event in Austin Texas March 14-17.

This will be our first show within a brand new venue.  The wonderful and oh so grand Fado's Irish Pub located at 214 W. 4th Street in Austin...right in the center of Austin's popular warehouse district.  We'll be holding shows from 3pm until 2am Wednesday through Friday within their outdoor back stage.  AND, on Friday we're blocking off the entire street in front of the venue for a tented 4,000 capacity event 3pm to midnight.

As you can see, we're taking things up a notch this year!  Have no fear, the amazing growth and prestige is not going to our heads!  In respect to our growth, we will be presenting even MORE buzz bands, MORE major label bands, MORE venue space to see them in, and MORE amazing sponsors and celebs to make the show even MORE of a huge buzz event in Austin this year.

In years past, we've had a strong reputation for hosting buzz acts each year that have gone on to glamorous stardom (Silvertide, Razorlight, Peppers Ghost, Halestorm, L.P. etc...). Well...this year, we're bumping things up a bit and hosting a long list of buzz acts to get things cooking...for example, Porcelain (#1 buzz band in Australia), The Young Knives & The Rumble Strips (famous UK buzz bands), The Cinematics (fyi...soon to be huge), the captivating and oh so lovely April Smith and the Great Picture Show, and the L.A. darling Reeve Carney etc...  Plus we're proud to announce a few more most interesting bands that will be gracing our stage...Thomas Dolby (Science!!!), the lovely Michelle Shocked, Halestorm (back again for more!!!), and Joan as Police Woman.

So strap yourselves in...this year's gonna be one heck of a ride! Keep checking back for more details, schedules, etc...

See y'all in Texas!

Signed,

IOM Event Coordinator

Industry of music ... meaning music/musicians that are industrious in crafting their music for an artistic purpose, a purpose with integrity. What is the Industry of Music?

We are an established brand that organizes very high profile cutting edge music showcases in different cities during known music conferences or events. We have countless direct connections within the music industry which allows to scout and book the biggest up and coming buzz acts for our events. Our shows have a big reputation for having schedules of bands that are 100% full of both bands that are on the verge of stardom and bands that are already there.

The Industry of Music Showcase is a private party. Invitations are required. Downloadable schedule/invitations are acceptable and invitation cards will be available at the participating venues during the week of the showcase.

Joan Wasser is the best champagne in the world. A voice so wonderous and moving that it makes everyone else's seem ordinary and mundane, the indie generation's Dusty Springfield. The Ride is the most hypnotic and majestic sad song ever and so good it will make you shiver - THE GUARDIAN (27.05.06)

Probably one of the most exciting bands in London at present, this 50's and 60's inspired rocked out soul band on Island/Fallout Records is sexy, dangerous, and full of the kind of fun energy that'll get anyone out of their seat and dancing like a fool.  Precicesly the kind of band we need in this world today.
